In the first quarter of 2026, Headway JSC successfully transported more than 686 tons of Vietnamese durian to international markets, representing a 130.6% increase compared to the same period last year. Of this volume, the United States remained the key export market with 580 tons, accounting for 84.5% of the total shipment volume.

This achievement aligns with the strong growth momentum of the durian export market in recent years. According to customs statistics, Vietnam’s durian exports exceeded 80,000 tons in Q1 2026, increasing by approximately 230% year-on-year. Notably, durian exports to the U.S. grew by more than 107%, reflecting rising demand for high-quality durian products in this market.

The U.S. Leads Headway’s Durian Shipment

The United States was Headway’s largest durian export market in Q1 2026, accounting for 84.5% of total shipment volume, followed by China (12.3%) and Canada (3.2%). Demand in the U.S. continues to grow due to the increasing popularity of tropical fruits across supermarkets and retail chains, particularly frozen durian products, which offer advantages in preservation and are well suited to modern distribution models.
