THUA THIEN HUE, September 18, 2026
Headway Logistics marks a new milestone in international freight forwarding by successfully coordinating, in cooperation with NYK Line, the first roll-on/roll-off (RoRo) vessel call at Chan May Port (Thua Thien Hue). The milestone marks the export of a shipment of nine electric buses manufactured by Kim Long Motor to Thailand, establishing the first sea-based automotive logistics route in Central Vietnam.

To date, Vietnam’s import and export of completely built-up vehicles (CBUs) has largely relied on port infrastructure in Hai Phong in the North and Ho Chi Minh City in the South. The successful launch of RoRo services at Chan May Port helps expand this network, providing a direct supply chain solution that enables automotive manufacturers in Central Vietnam to optimize operating costs, shorten delivery lead times, and enhance their competitiveness in international markets.
