In the first half of 2024, Headway recorded an incredible growth in squid and octopus exports to the US. Specifically, this market increased by 596.42% over the same period in 2023. Meanwhile, Taiwan was previously the leading market, decreasing by 60.11% over the same period.
According to the latest data from the Vasep association, Vietnam's squid and octopus export turnover reached USD 239 million, lower than the same period last year. Among them, the 5 largest export markets are Korea, Japan, China, Thailand and the EU.

A report from Headway shows that in 2023, the Taiwanese market will dominate with 61.25% market share, however this number will give way to the US market with outstanding competitive strength in 2024.
The US has become an emerging growth market in 2024 with 145.9 tons of squid and octopus exports. A number that exceeds expectations because the US is always a fastidious and strict market in terms of preservation regulations and maintaining the quality of goods throughout the long transportation process.
Headway has promoted the application of "digitalization" technology, modern storage systems and a state-of-the-art container monitoring network. We are gradually "greening" the entire goods circulation process, in order to optimize the cold supply chain and promote sustainable economic benefits.
